Sundog
Points are earned in two
different ways.
Cumulative
points are awarded so that for
every player you beat in your division you
get 10 points, for every win you get 0.01
points, and just for showing up and playing
(DNFs not included) you get 10.0001 points.
For
example, say you have played three Sundogs
with one win, beating a total of 65 players
in your division. This gives you 650 points
for the number of players beaten, 30.0003
points for completing three rounds, and
.01 points for the win, for a total of 680.0103
points.
Sundog
Finals points are worth double.
Series
points are awarded for your eight
best weekly points plus 5 points for a win,
3 points for placing 2nd, 2 points for placing
3rd, 1 point per top-ten showing, and factored
by your Sundog rating.
The
formula is (B8+PP)x(SR/1000)/10
B8=Best eight weekly points
PP=Performance points (win, place, show)
SR=Sundog rating
You
must play at least eight Sundogs
to qualify for Series Awards. Prizes will
be awarded to 100% of qualified women, and
to the top 35%-40% of qualified Series Leaders
per the remaining divisions. Prizes will
be also be awarded for several other categories:
Top
3 Total Points Leaders Per Division
Top Sundog Rating Per Division
Top Round Rating Per Division
Single Most Consistent Rating
Best Effort Per Division
Perfect Attendance
Top Sandbaggers
Most Fun
Ties
are broken by wins and attendance.
Points displayed in the standings are rounded
to save space, so you will sometimes see
players with seemingly the same amount of
points as each other but not tied with each
other. As you can see, this is because one
of them either has more wins or has played
more STS events.
Your
Sundog rating is an average of
all your round ratings for the season. If
you do not show a PDGA rating it is most
likely that you are not a current PDGA member
or you have yet to be rated by the PDGA.

rating, let us know.
Any
Sundog earnings left unclaimed
past November 25, 2006 (first Chilly Dog)
are forfeit! Sorry, no exceptions!
