Chilly Dog Winter League and Brian "Huey" Donahue are again throwing that annual fan-favorite "D-Tier" event, the Chilly Bowl Winter Warmer, so of course that means along with the yearly mid-winter party and Ice Bowl food drive, it's gonna be our second annual chili cook-off.

Everyone loved all of those incredible disc golfer chili recipes last year and had a great time judging the winners. So much so, that we're continuing The Chilly Bowl Winter Chili Cook-Off, where you get to be the judges and award prizes. We supply some reimbursement for entrants' supplies, a stove and oven for on-site warming, electricity for crock-pots, bowls and spoons, crackers, cheese & onions, etc. All you need to do is show us your best chili!

Last year was a great time. Anyone wishing to enter the cook-off should contact Brian Donahue at 612 554 0659. We will be actively recruiting past participants and others as well. For those considering entering a favorite recipe:

  1. All ingredients shall be pre-cooked & treated prior to the event – chili is to be brought “ready-to-eat”.
  2. Contestants shall provide their own pots and serving utensils.
  3. Contestants shall be responsible for policing and cleaning up their area at the end of the day.
  4. We ask that contestants make a minimum of four (4) quarts chili.
  5. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place chili recipes.

On the Winter Warmer side of the day, just like every year we'll have some fun extra holes, special first place prizes, free CTPs, mando belly-warmers, quenchers, etc., and super double happiness fun for all!

The Winter Warmer is again working in conjunction with the Fairway Flyerz Fairway Freezer Ice Bowl food drive, so the event is offering a $2.00 discount to anyone who brings non-perishable food items on January 22nd. Combined collections from both events will go towards stocking local food shelves. So let's go folks! Go through those shelves at home or stop at the store and give what you can! Thank you to all who can help.

The last Chilly Dog of the season is a single-division, handicapped-score-based-on-your-Chilly-Dog-rating, all cash payout, year-end party event to celebrate a great season of disc golf, the imminent end of winter, and the upcoming spring season. It's the Fun Dog! For more information, just ask Matt.
